How is the HeatTank Intelligent Thermal Battery different from an electric battery?

As the name suggests, the HeatTank Intelligent Thermal Battery is a type of battery, but its greatest advantage is not energy storage itself, but rather making various HVAC systems (cooling and heating systems) more energy-efficient. Since its application allows for energy savings and a reduction in operational costs, it cannot be compared to a regular electric battery or everyday storage.

In the following article, we examine the comparable features of the two products.

Long lifespan, low maintenance costs

The lifespan of the HeatTank Thermal Battery is approximately three times longer than that of electric batteries, meaning that over the long term, the costs are comparable when considering the entire lifespan. While the average lifespan of an electric battery is 8 years, the Thermal Battery saves energy for 25 to 30 years. Additionally, the Thermal Battery does not contain toxic substances or rare earth metals, and it does not require special operating conditions regarding temperature or humidity, in addition reducing maintenance costs.

Fast and efficient energy storage

The uniqueness of the Intelligent Thermal Battery lies in its fast response time. While an electric battery may take up to two hours to charge and discharge, the Thermal Battery can be fully charged or discharged in just 20 minutes. The HeatTank 50-1 Intelligent Thermal Battery has a capacity of 60 kWh and can provide up to 200 kW of peak power, which is six times better performance compared to electric batteries. This fast response time enables more efficient use in the electricity market, particularly in situations where peak performance and energy savings are crucial.

Summary

The Intelligent Thermal Battery offers an excellent alternative to traditional electric batteries, especially for companies that prioritize energy efficiency and sustainability. With its long lifespan, fast response time, and cost-effective operation, it is an ideal choice for energy storage and system optimization.
